I know electronic shutter is bad for fast moving subjects, especially BIF but when targeting more still moments it can deliver some great results.

Does that imply some not-so-great results for still moments? Under what conditions?

And for still moments, why would results be any different with electronic shutter vs mechanical?

(Those parrots are really gorgeous birds!)

Not really if the subject isn't moving fast the E shutter does a great job as long as your shutter speed is fast enough to compensate for the slower movemnt. If you have fast or wing action you will get very warped wing movements using electronic shutter

Nice images.  I have moved almost completely to electronic shutter with stationary birds and the 300mm f4.  However, if they move very quickly (like the Downy woodpecker quickly flying away) you can get some strange images.  No, the bird did not lose it wings.
