Ta Proem, Cambodia

Angkor Wat and most of the temples around it have been cleaned of vegetation, which is the main thing that destroys them. A tropical ruin, though, should be draped in vines or gripped by roots. At Ta Proem they cleared just enough vegetation to enter the site, and left the rest. So Ta Proem is a proper tropical ruin. All photos taken with the DA 16-85, except number 3, which was taken with the DA 10-17.

Here it is in grayscale. Tell me which you prefer.

The biggest feat wasn't taking the photos, it was keeping the throngs of visitors out of my images. Most of them were there to take selfies.
