Fuji's sweet 50

Not much to say. Not very large, yet very powerful. 52mm F2 equivalent with AF for all Fuji cameras. Largest lens you can comfortably use on X-M/X-E without an additional grip, similar to the 18-55 kit.

+ Gets you around in low light

+ Outstanding sharpness as you stop down (f/4-5.6 to f/8)

+ No distortion to worry about

+ Bokeh offers a good balance between creamy and busy

+ Low CA

- AF noisy and on the slow-ish side

- Heavy-ish and not weather sealed, if that's an issue. If it is, consider 35mm F2, which is tack sharp wide open, has great bokeh, blazing fast to focus, however note that you're going to trade superior overall optics, as the 35F2 images are being given a more heavy handed correction from Fuji software

- Very weak against flare, you really need its hood or an alternative hood to keep things under control at times; best to avoid cheaper filters, too

- Manual focus by wire could be a bit smoother and more precise. It's certainly usable, but I'd rather focus a good adapted MF lens any day
