Sorry but I wasn't talking about the NX1 of course. Don't get me wrong. I'm just mad, that it took so much for Sumsung to came up with the almost right camera for video, that when they got it, it was too expensive, and they left the market. As we know, we all stucked to the NX1 firmware. Is a pain in the butt to convert H265 to H264. This was something we should expect to be fixed in later firmware versions... Also a fully articulated 180 screen would be nice....
My problem is with the fact, that they could also do excelent cameras for video in the past, if they just listen to their consumers, doing minor changes on their older camera's firmware... Sorry, but I come from video. I'm used to have good, easy to use, and cheap videocamcorders, that record perfect audio, and don't crop their image, when we start taking video, since 2004...
You can keep using those cameras then. They are very cheap to buy as well. Win win!
No Way, they have Small sensors, and are very bad in low light. If they had bigger sensor, I would definetely still buy them.... Everybody is changing to mirrorless/DSLR cameras for video, but we all know they aren't perfect... but is takig too much time...
There is the JVC LS300, Canon C100, a handful of Sony's, and a few Black Magic cameras to choose from.
So your previous statement about 2004 cameras was false. They weren't that good, because if they were you would still use them. The sound capabilities are exactly the same, video wasn't a 2004 invention, and now you have a 499€ 4K camera (NX500), while back then you needed at least 1500€ for an ok standard definition (PAL) camcorder.
Please stop complaining, and enjoy what this age has to offer.
