What To Choose In Upgrade From Canon XTi, Besides Panasonic GF5

Right now I have Canon XTi with 18-55mm kit lens and Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro. Last year I bought Panasonic GF5 with its 14-42 Mega OIS kit lens.

The pictures I took are mostly travel/landscape, plus flowers in my garden. I also want to take video of my kids dancing on stage, or doing sports in the back yard.

What I found out is that Panasonic GF5's sensor is pretty good, same as Canon XTi. Panasonic's 14-42 lens is also at the same level as Canon 18-55.

What I am not satisfied with my current cameras are noise at high ISO for both Canon XTi and Panasonic GF5. Also, I prefer the color rendition of Canon way over Panasonic, especially for human skin tone. That is why I am thinking about Canon T5i, T6i, T6s, EOS M/M2/M3/M10.

Will any of these offer significant improvement on image quality over my current cameras? Or should I wait longer for better Canon or even Sony a6300 or A7?

When I consider Panasonic GF5, experts in dp forums predicted that I will not see much improvement in image quality over my existing XTi. They are so accurate in their prediction. That is why I would like to hear what people say in this situation.

Canon XTi, 100mm Macro lens

These two pictures just shows the image quality of my two cameras. I am actively studying photography skills, and playing with reflectors, filters, and light boxes, etc. That is why I want the experts' opinion on whether better camera or better lenses will improve my pictures.
