filming entire concerts with Canon t3i

So this is basically a newb question, as I have done very basic video stuff, and in GOOD lighting.

My current challenge is to film entire shows of my band, to be posted on youtube. I recently bought a 128 GB card, thinking my previous issue of the camera cutting off early on had to do with the card size. I was surprised upon the first go with this big card to see the camera still shut down early. It showed a full charge, but I know this can be deceiving and that it may have been a battery issue.

Is there a way to film an entire show without replacing the battery (better batteries, etc), as I am filming remotely and not behind the camera (I basically press record and hit the stage). As you can see in the video below, It cuts off after 12 minutes.

I know I will often be in less than ideal lighting conditions, but I know there's a way to get better results than this (raw video from last show):

So, what are some basic settings I should take into account on the t3i, and any essential components I'm missing in my setup? I'm not aiming for perfection, but something usable, and I hear about such great HD results with dslrs; far from the results I'm getting..

Thanks!!
