Excellent X-E companion

Starting with the excellent build quality and tactile feedback, going forward with the silent and instantaneous focus (which was pretty good before X-E2 FW4.0 update, new outstanding), excellent low light capability with the aid of the effective OIS (you can always count on 2 stops, 3 stops is common and 3.5 to 4 if you're lucky and have a steady hand), this is a pure steal when part of a discounted kit.

Tack sharp when stopped down to F4-F5.6 between 23-35mm (focals in 18-55 terms), corners a bit soft wide open at the wide end, overall weaker at 50mm but still quite impressive.

Again, this applies to grabbing it as part of a kit or heavily discounted / second hand. Otherwise, it's a bit on the pricey side when bought solo, brand new.

I also hear lots of centering complaints (not the case with mine, apparently), so you should carefully test it before committing to the buy.
