760D External Flash Menu for 3rd party speedlights/flash

Hello!

I'm new in the forums and I believe this is the best place to actually get valid answers. I'm starting to invest into speedlights and flash but I'm afraid to splurge to Canon brand due to them having a higher price tag and that I'm afraid I might change my mind when I realized I'm not into using them.

At first I was considering Yongnuo YN560 iii and YN 560 iv but apparently, both have the tendency to arrive DOA or fail after a few uses or suffer the dreaded "stuck at full power" issue.

Then I stumbled upon Aperlite, specifically YH400 and the YH500. Reading some reviews at Amazon and I learned that the YH500 can only be triggered off-camera by using Neewer NW622C. Then I learned that my Canon 760D has an external flash menu settings and can actually command this specific brand (based on the review of one of the members, Mr. 007Peter).

My question now is that, can I trigger either the two of these flashes off-camera without buying any other transmitter or by not using the built-in flash of my DSLR/without any other flash on my camera's hot shoe acting as a' "Master"?

Or if you have any other 3rd-party system that works, kindly chip in the idea here as well, it will be much appreciated.

Thank you and looking forward to your feedbacks.

Regards,

Anthony
