EOS M3 Tilting Screen Fault
1

Always thought the M3 screen was its weakest link. Had the camera for nearly a year now and it seems the tilt feature is no longer working correctly.

The LCD screen works on start up but as soon as I tilt it, the screen will turn off, and camera will sometimes still be able to take a photo, other times it will just shutoff.

The screen turns off precisely when the LCD slides off its hinge abpout 1/4 inch. If I tilt the screen and don't let it slide out it will remain on.

I have tried resetting and leaving the battery out for more than 30 mins. Any ideas on what else to try or a guide on attempting the repair. I'm thinking its the electrical ribbon that is slightly loose with a bad connection.
