Hi,

I am using the canon t6i with a 50 mm prime lens. I am using the follow focus system. I tried to use it and marked some points on it for focusing my selected objects. But when i revisited the same points as marked on my follow focus again i couldn't find my same focal points focusing my previously selected objects. I miss the focus on the previously selected points/objects.

Am i doing something wrong ??

Keep in mind if you are using one of the new STM lenses, that focus is fly-by-wire (so registration points will never work). You'll need to use a lens with a conventional drive.

+1. Same with ring-USM type lenses, like 50/1.2L USM or Sigma 50 f/1.4 HSM. Not focus by wire, but the registration points will be lost since the focus ring continues to turn beyond focus stops, and doesn't turn when autofocusing.
