What a disappointment!
I've owned many cameras over the years. Mostly SLR's until the digital age. My most recent was the Canon 7D. I needed a camera that was worthy of sportfishing and motorcycling. Had to be small and tough. Last fishing trip I was on my brother showed me his Olympus tough TG-3. He said he was quite happy with it. The TG-4 seemed like the obvious choice for my needs and was so packed with great features that it quickly made my short list. What a mistake. I experimented and worked hard to learn this camera and attempt to make it take good photos. The only positive thing I can say is that it took excellent macro photos. But when it came time to take photos of my most recent sailfishing trip in Guatemala, it failed miserably. As it did on my last motorcycle trip to Sturgis. Without fail the photos came out soft and slightly out of focus. The burst photos were even more blurred and lacked dynamic range. I bought this camera when it first hit the market, and worked with it for a year. I finally offloaded it for about half what I paid and felt lucky to get it. What a terrible, terrible disappointment.
