Shutter Count

Recently I looked up my shutter count on the X100s and to my dismay, I found a count of over 3000. I bought the camera 6 months ago and there is no way that I had taken that many images - under a 500 would be more like it. However, I decided to look further and in the Fujifilm X100s manual on page 91, this is the explanation: "Shutter Count -- View the number of times the shutter has been released. The count is also incremented each time the camera is turned off, playback mode is selected or the Optical Viewfinder is activated."

In case you were wondering why your camera is showing a higher count than you expected, there's the solution. Just thought you should know. Somehow this doesn't seem right -- because when you go to sell the equipment the buyer could be dissuaded from buying your equipment because of the inflated shutter count.
