Which is value for money - Gx7 vs Gx8

Hi There...

I'm upgrading from introDSLR to mirrorless camera.  My priority qualities of a cam and objectives are :

  1. Excellent photo image quality
  2. Excellent for videos (like amateur film projects)
  3. Value for money since I'm still starting and still evaluating my preferences as I use the cam more often.  I'm eyeing on 2 models : Panasonic Gx7 vs Gx8  (meets objective 1&2) - I saw in most forums that specs are almost the same but the Gx8 is more expensive.

Now-- the question is objective #3. Which is better value for money in my case? ---  If I get the gx7, it only comes with 20mm kit, and this does not give me flexibility for the video, so I need to still buy a 14-140mm, and will cost me another additional +/-$400.   Hence, if I get the gx8 kit lense (already with 14-140mm), it may cost just a little bit high BUT I will already have the newer specs in the Gx8.

Another option is the G7 - seems better for the video BUT the image quality and feel is better with Gx7.

So : Is Gx7 with 20mm kit + additional 14-140mm better BUY /value than the Gx8 kit lens?

Thanks!!
