Canon G12 photo color problems

Last weekend I repaired a Canon G12 that had been dropped and messed up the CCD so that there was just black - no picture. I removed the CCD and repaired it according to instructions on this thread

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/55006277

That worked in that the picture came back and I can take photo's . But the colors are messed up a bit , especially in bright light. Greens look reddish. Last night I took a photo and colors were fine, but when I took the same photo with flash on a lot of the colors went reddish.

I don't understand exactly how CCD's work . I am wondering if some of the connections are still bad or maybe the sensor itself is just faulty now. I just don't get why low light colors are good but the bright ones don't work right ?

Any advice ?

Thanks

Larry
