Re: Sony a900...is it still a relevant camera?

I have an A900 & it is a good camera especially at low ISO's. It has good colour when RAW is used & any residual CA , when using older Minolta lenses, is easily corrected in LR or PS.

The only issue that I have had with it is camera shake when using longer lenses on a tripod. Mirror slap not only makes the shutter loud but also can cause some camera shake at certain low shutter speeds when using a rigid tripod. This can largely be alleviated by using the mirror lock-up facility.

It is a solid ,well made camera which inspires confidence in use.
