Re: Compelling reason to by an NX1

If one shops around he can buy a used or open-box NX1 for $900 or less. If the lens 'parts' get re-stocked, he could buy a 50-150mm S and 16-50 S for $790 and $650 respectively.
In 5 years, with depreciation and if the lens mount dies (like Canon FD, Olympus 4/3rds) my guess those lenses would still sell for $500 and $250 easily. The NX1 might still sell for $500 because of the 4K video and ability to use most legacy lenses.
If one thinks about it, the depreciation is no less than any other camera system, and with the trick of buy lens 'parts' could be even less. On top of this there is NO camera available today or any that has been announced that can do what the NX1 does, not even for $3000!
So what is the risk of buying an NX1 today? The same as buying any other camera, except those other cameras won't be able to do everything the NX1 can do.
You can't consider the "parts" cheat as normal pricing. Plus, this applies to US only...
I don't think that is true. When I search for these 'parts' Google shows them for sale on sites all around the world.
But if you own any Samsung lenses, please panic and sell the dirt cheap.
Here in Eurozone (that includes Germany, France, Spain, Italy and other well known countries) and in UK that I checked, most of the lenses were higher than retail (where available).
I found only the 30mm in France with a competitive price, and they send only in France.
I guess that the abuse of the system in Eastern European countries such Poland, Hungary and probably others, changed the pricing policy.
Abuse is not a good thing in anyway, and as SpacemanUA, the person that made this practice gamous, noticed, this is maybe one of the reasons of the financial disaster NX was for Samsung. At some points the ebay market.was flooded by cheap lenses on grey carton boxes.
And.my previous post, was.mainly a reminder that peope DO exist, and buy things outside the United States, as.well..
