Hi Mark B,

Thanks for your comments.  For whale shooting, which is the main thing I do, zooms are almost a must, since you never know whether one might surface near or far from the boat.  In addition, I really dislike changing lenses out in the salt air, nor having to run below to get to a cleaner environment for that.  I am willing to trade a bit of sharpness of the best primes for the convenience of the zooms. For this situation, I typically carry two identical bodies, one with 14-140 and the other with 75-300 Mk 2.  My fiancee usually uses the Panny 100-300 on the third body, and sometimes swaps that for the 12-40 or the older 14-140.  I might consider replacing that dipped lens with another of similar 10x zoom.  I have the 4/3 18-180, which I could use with the MMF-3, but have not tested that.  We almost never shoot on a tripod (worthless on a boat).  On some trips I also carry the Bigma 50-500, and use that on a monopod on deck or tripod/gimbal ashore.  I'm hoping to replace that with the Panny 100-400, if it becomes available before our Antarctica trip starting in early March, if it is out by then.  I have it on pre-order.

Any suggestions for  another lens like the 14-140 Mk 2?  Otherwise, I might just get another one.
