At last -- caught the Kokopo dawn!

And it was nearly perfect. Largely clear sky, bit of cloud around in the east. The "nearly perfect" part is that the bottom level of cloud was mostly sitting right on the horizon so I didn't get that sun shining through under it. Oh well -- keep trying!

I set out from home (on foot!) with the trusty GX7 + 12-32 in my bilum (shoulder string bag) about 4.30am and was in position to start taking pix around 5.15am. Just in time.

Vivid mode

Standard mode -- I think I prefer this, a bit more natural although not as dramatic.

Slight change of viewpoint and some time after the first two. Standard mode, I think. WB set for sunlight. Look at that tiny window between the cloud and land -- if only it had been a bit bigger! Oh well -- another time!

It would be nice if the Mode was saved in the EXIF data.
