A baker's dozen of my favourite shots from this year. Seems I did well with the macro. :D No roller derby stuff this time. I intentionally left them out.

Here's last years thread of the same.

I'm not a street photographer, but it's often hard to avoid people when shooting in cities with wide angle lenses. I still try to wait for people to move into positions which don't distract or better, enhance the image.

I spent much of 2015 recovering from an achilles tendon tear which kept me from walking, confining my outdoor photography to a few months at each end of the year. Here are a few from those periods.

I love the contrasting nature in the first three. And the sense of irony, for lack of a better word.

Many of us should do more shooting, and less debating tech issues. The work displayed in this thread is a real eye treat.

Martin, you set the bar high with that lightning photo. You should just post that one, drop the mic and walk off.

My son and his friends, posing for their annual Christmas shot. This time in the tree platform behind the house. A simple shot, but the love it.

Oh well, maybe I am too uncritical! I had to split mine into colour and B&W. Here are the colour ones :-)

Not even close to the subjects I take, but I know what I like and heck, I LOVE these. One of the best eyes (or two) for a shot I've seen. Very clever angles, leading lines and use of perspective. Exposures are bang on.

All the best Yaelle, top shooting there.

Danny.

Great choices - I've enjoyed all your photos through the year :-) The flamenco dancer is a 'wow' I don't remember seeing that before.

An impressive set but the angry birds steal the show :-)

Great light in all your work. No exceptions here.

I recall you were worried about the first not being technically perfect but it's a beautiful shot as are the rest of the set. Your renderings are very artistic.

I love your work, it doesn't matter which you post :-)

There is a specific picture of yours I remember - it's taken in the market one (or two) girls behind the counter.

I love that airport shot. You've posted some really interesting stuff this year.

Not a single LC shot in your favourites? You've done some stunning work this year, you should be proud.

It's a beautiful and very polished set. I love the first and the dying sunflower but they are all terrific.
