Hands down it's the 24 EFS 2.8 lens.  That is a great focal length, the lens is very small and light.  And the lens is very sharp.  I'm using it a lot for events.  I have used the 17-55 2.8 for several years, and really like almost everything about the lens except two really big issues.  The first is weight, it's a killer and the second is the lens creep so shooting with one hand while holding flash up with the other is very difficult, and the focal length keeps changing on you.  I find that the 24 is the sweet spot for many even type pictures when I looked at where I ended up with the 17-55, so having this simple, light lens that doesn't move is really nice.
