Hi Terminal Boy, as others have said it is not possible with Panasonic bodies to my knowledge.
Exposure compensation in Manual mode with auto ISO is available with a few Oly bodies though. This question gets raised a fair bit and here is how you do it, copied and pasted from a reply I gave a week a so ago.
"You can do this with the E-M1 and the E-5 and I believe one of the E-M5 bodies as well. It is not as slick an implementation as the Pentax one but it works fine for me.
Go to the Menu main page then down to the Cogs then to all the way to the bottom to Utility then 2nd down to Exposure Shift. You can then adjust exposure compensation in all three metering modes in 1/6 stops. It used to take me about 5 seconds to change this setting but since the new E-M1 firmware with the "remember your last menu selection" it takes about 2 or 3 seconds tops.
Menu, right arrow, right arrow, up or down, OK, done.
I use this functionality a lot for motorsport."

They need to just allow us to bind the functionality to a button dial and get it over with... Dunno what's worse, Panasonic taking until this year to finally offer auto ISO under manual or Olympus having it for years sans EC. Oh yeah, I know what's worse, the EC dial on the GX8 that goes dead in manual... What a waste.
Agreed, what a waste. It was bad enough having to figure out a suitable workaround for the Oly bodies but at least it's available. I would be very disappointed if I had a dedicated EC dial that was disabled when using manual mode.
