Unreliable autofocus SL1 after camera drop

Hi,

I dropped my SL1 and the impact broke my 18-55mm lens hood. Now the camera doesn't focus quickly and at at times I have to turn off the camera and back on for it to work. This makes the camera unreliable. Please advise if the lens is the culprit or the body has gone bad. How to isolate the issue. I also noticed that the plastic connector of the lens had the edge chipped.

Another thing I have noticed was that my pictures are always tilted even when I am sure that I have the picture leveled when looking through the view finder.

I will add pictures to this post.

Best regards,

Jai
