Re: Copying RAW/JPEGs from Fuji X cameras to Galaxy Tab S or Note 4 questions?

I have a Tab S2 and Note4. I bought a Samsung OTG at Best Buy when I bought the tablet. I connect my usual card reader (Lexar) to the OTG, and then I can read and download from any card on my tablet or phone.

My goal for this set up was to provide ability to view photos, including RAW files, and to create backups while traveling. I added a 128GB micro chip to the tablet so it could hold lots of images. After copying my photos to the tablet, I copy from the tablet to a thumb drive, using the same OTG cable, in order to have a second backup. I experimented with several file managers to find the one easiest to work with. I had hoped to copy from the tablet to an external hard drive but found that wouldn't work. I was amazed at how fast the files downloaded to the tablet. It enabled me to create daily backups and even do some basic editing of the jpegs.

I also bought a $9 IOGEAR OTG, that was recommended on these forums, that has a built in card slot as well as three USB ports. It works well too, although the download is maybe not as fast. Using it, one can download from the card directly to a thumb drive without storing on the tablet first.
