I find the eye sensor on my new em10 II to be so sensitive that sometimes it's a pain in the neck!

I dislike the eye sensor, and turn it off on both the Stylus-1 and E-M5 mark I (when you disable it, you have to manually switch between the EVF and the LCD -- oh the horrors). If I have the camera on a neck/shoulder strap turned on and ready the shoot, the camera will not go to sleep when it is on my shoulder, since it thinks my side is an eye, and it keeps the camera awake. Also, sometimes I'm shooting in the audience in the dark, and I keep it on the EVF so that I don't annoy other people with the big LCD.

When I first got the camera I had a problem while making settings with the SMP popping up for a couple of seconds and then turning off - couldn't access the menu.  Eye sensor button wouldn't work.

After reading your response, Michael, I decided to turn off the eye sensor and the lcd did indeed turn off, but pressing the eye sensor now, for either a short time or a long time achieves nothing.  I can't get the monitor to turn on.

What next?  Do I have to return the camera?
