BIF's and birds with the E-M10 and the 500mm

Absolutely stunning fine days here lately, so off to the estuary for a shoot with the E-M10 and the Canon FD 500 F/4.5L.

Hey, I kind of like Sparrows

In came a few Spoobill's

They are mad I tell ya. Check out the hairdo

A few Kingfisher were out and about. March to September is best though for these little ones

Still my favorite bird for sure though.

Kingfisher with crab, normal for there.

Speaking of small crabs, this is what they go for at around 20-25mm across

Then off it goes looking for another one

Another Spoonbill, looking very proud this one

Funny how with the Kingfisher they can go from green to blue, that seems to depend on the seasons.

An older shot of a white faced Heron going for crabs as well

What a surprise ... small crab !!! Ha

Another shot of the Spoonbill as it blasted past

All the best folks and hope you all had a great Christmas.
