I'm looking to pick up an EF-S 24mm STM, and the price of a refurbished one is significantly better (at the moment) than a new one. It's been out of stock since late November, and I'm getting tired of waiting, as I've got some projects I want to do with it. Does anyone have any experience with how long it takes Canon to restock their refurbished selection? $40 isn't a big difference (that's the price difference between refurb and new), however I am losing patience.

I'd love any insight you all may have!
Thanks

Reuben

Actually, it was just restocked the other day, and at an additional 15% off (their current sale).  I wouldn't expect it to be restocked again before the sale ends though.  They usually just restock once during a refurb sales period.

What I'd recommend is signing up for notifications via CanonPriceWatch.com.  Click here and then click "notify" on that page.  Then, edit the notification to just the refurb and set your price that you're willing to pay.  When it comes in stock at or below that price, you'll receive an email.  Be ready to pull the trigger the minute you get the email.

Like I said, it'll probably be a while before it's back in stock, and probably even longer before it's in stock during a sale.
