FWIW I referred just to micro SD cards as that was my only experience with readers with micro USB plugs. My other multi card readers are also quite large so I was looking for smaller solutions, which the tiny Sandisk SD card reader solves. Let us know if it works so future searches have a solution?

I did notice something today. The microUSB plug on the Startech OTG connector is slightly longer and looks bigger than the plug on my Samsung Charger cable and it sticks out when connected to the Note 4 or the Tab S. It may not be making proper contact. I also verified that the 8GB jumpdrive I have works fine so it's definitely something with the OTG connector.
