I love the NX300, and the Nx30. They are great cameras. I just don't understand, why it doesn't have good audio. I mean, good audio quality appear in the late 80s, with digital audio CDs with its 44.1 khs. This shouldn't be an issue, and would let all people happy. Good audio quality should be taken fro guranted in an expensive camera as the NX30.
I mean I have older camcorders with decent sound quality since the advent of mini DV. A good AD converter is present nowadays in every cheap sound board for PC. Even in the rastberry PI.
If you could make everybody happy, why Samsung don't do it?
Sound pro in productions since 1999. The first rule for good sound is to take your sound input device (microphone) out of the camera, and closer to the source, that's why the biggest difference between pro movies and amateur ones, or semi pro, is the sound. To achieve good image, is easier these days than good sound, and this is always going to be the case, as the sound is not depending of the sensor and a few technical things one can learn in a week, it depends mainly of how good the sound man is, and that takes a lot of experience and physics.
You make false statements about sound for a while now, you should read more about it, and then comment, if you do a little research for a few hours, you will realize that "having a good sound" is more than having a good microphone, which ALL the cameras, do NOT have, and can never achieve dissent sound. Especially small cameras with in built mics, for a lot of different reasons (mic close proximity with our breath, our hands, microphones are "inside", they do not have any protection against the wind-the wind cut in your camera is just an equalizer/just make your sound worst so to just be able to write something, mic pre amplifiers are more expensive that you can imagine, etc)
If I give you my Sennheiser 416, that the whole set with it's wind jammers, costed 2000euros last year, you couldn't even know what to do, especially with this hyper-cardioid. Even with a small Rode camera mic and the NX30, I could better sound than you, if I give you my whole set with the external recorders, mics and everything.
