I can see no appreciable difference with sRGB over Adobe RGB TIF output from SPP. The issue only occurs at the point of JPG export from ACR whichever colour space is used. While working on the TIF file in ACR none of the colour artefacts are visible - it is only after exporting the file as a JPG.

It still seems to me that the exported JPG from SPP has less issues than going the SPP 16 bit TIF to ACR and then JPG export but I now feel that's because of additional PP work in ACR which may be enhancing the problem. I could try a JPG output straight from the TIF without doing any PP.

yes, it is when I add contrast and I underexpose that the problem really appears

Bottom line is that it seems to me to be a JPG problem dealing with the colour synthesis and rendering of greys - I have seen the same (albeit less) issues with other digital cameras.

Would be interested to hear from the OP.

honestly, I don't have enough technical knowledge to have a strong opinion or an explanation

but I agree with you, for instance, a similar problem happens when I convert (in lightroom 5) a photo to B&W, I then add some toning, and then I export in JPG

anyway, do you agree that this is not the same problem of magenta/cyan blotching and that the color noise tool do not have any effect on this "discoloration"?

many thanks again
