Pentax-curious, MF with legacy lenses

I've been with Canon for a while but am becoming Pentax-curious. I'm thinking I could almost turn for the KS-2 or even K-50. One thing I'd like to know is how hard it is to manually focus legacy lenses with a KS-2 or K-50. I have a Pentax Takumar 300/4 which I've attempted to use on a Canon eos-m. Even with focus peaking through magic lantern that is almost impossible (not least because it takes 2 hands just to hold that rig). Is it possible to focus through the optical viewfinder and how good is Pentax's implementation of focus peaking? I've manually focused AF-capable lenses on my Canon DSLR by turning until a focus point lights in the viewfinder and beeps. That was quite workable but does that "focus confirm" technique only work with AF capable lenses? The option to get a weather sealed lens and body for less than the cost of a weather sealed Canon lens or body is a big selling point but has anyone had the sealing fail on them in moderate conditions?

Pentax K-50
