Size and weight mainly - like you say, very similar performance. I only needed one and I got more for the Panasonic than I would have for the Olympus

I'm not a big tele shooter, so it made sense to me.

Other's would go the other way I'm sure, especially if you don't have a body with IBIS; I know some people prefer a little weight too as it can help with steadying the shot depending on technique.

I didn't realise the reviews went to a forum post TBH - I was just killing a little time and as this lens is often written off for being plastic I just thought I'd stick up for it a bit
