Even if the NX line were to come to an end in the near future (please don't comment on that in this thread!), I think there would be plenty of bodies on the used market for a long time to come, for those of us who have invested in lenses:
- On the current Amazon best-selling interchangeable lens camera chart, NX-mount cameras are in spots 11, 13, 16, 26, and 30.There are many more NX3000 reviews than Sony A5100 reviews. There are an increasing number of NX500 reviews, including 7 in about the past week.
- NX cameras continue to get a lot of press also, with media outlets like Consumer Reports, Popular Photography, and DP Review giving them cover time, awards, or other top-billing. Non-photo outlets like PC Magazine and Outside Magazine have also given 2015 awards to NX cameras, and retail sites such as B&H have put the cameras in their year-end "best of" lists. So I would guess that there are quite a few people seeing those things who don't even know about the "death of Samsung cameras" rumors.
So my only point is that I suspect they are selling quite a few cameras right now, and that makes it even more certain that I'll be able to find them (especially bodies like NX3000 and NX500) dirt cheap on ebay in the years to come if I need to replace a body.

Exactly the same way I look at a camera box as well Tim. I would pick up an NX1 if the cost was right for sure. They don't just suddenly all die off. All I need is the body only. The NEX-7 is almost 4 years old now, a bit of a mess but it still takes the same IQ shots it did 4 years ago and that's fine by me. So a NX1 would be excellent to have as well.
I'm looking
Danny.
