Great Compact !
My last camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-350WX. Although I was very impressed with the zoom capability, it required an extremely steady hand and I was often disappointed by low light shots. Maybe its just me, but I continue to be surprised at how good a picture can look on the viewer screen but not half as good in the file. So I sold it on Ebay and researched.
Olympus has really done well with this camera. It is actually only a few tweaks different from the SH-1, but it is a remarkable compact. Picture stabilization was noticeable and made zoom shots much easier to take. I have yet to fully appreciate what can be done with RAW format, but it did help make my choice easier (I was going to go with DSC-500WX). The video quality is so good that I sometimes went video rather point and shoot.
I'm not sure why this did not get a full review from DP. I feel like it was stand out among compact zoom. Rest assured SH-3 might be revolutionary.
I know its to much to ask for a microphone jack but it something I would like. As always low light continues to frustrate, but not as much as DSC-350WX
