Nikon 35 f/1.8G vs 50 f/1.8G

Hi everyone,

For those of you who have both the 35 f/1.8G (the FX version) and the 50 f/1.8G, do you find that the 35mm is significantly sharper wide open?  For a long while, I only had a D700 and the 50 f/1.8G, and it always seemed very sharp to me.  But about a year ago, I bought a D750 with the 35mm f/1.8G, and I hadn't touched the 50mm since.  I recently tried shooting with it, and I initially thought it was broken, but after playing with it for a bit, I realized that it just focuses slower than the 35mm (I'm getting dramatically more out of focus shots), and is noticeably less sharp.  Most online reviews praise the 50 f/1.8G for it's sharpness, but my 35 f/1.8G and 85 f/1.8G are pretty obviously sharper.

Thanks!
