It's quite old, but in good nick. I've since had a bit more success, but only with the aperture very small and quite a long exposure (a few seconds). It's the same as this one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWrm3kekvSw

I did only spend $90 on it, but I was hoping for a little more. The only way to get a decent picture is out of direct light, with a very small aperture, longer exposure, tripod and a timer. It's a bit of work.

I would either fix it (have it fixed), or throw away. It's a waste of time and effort otherwise.
