Backyard Birding with GH4 and Canon 400/5.6 & Metabones T Smart Adapter

First time using this combo, getting dialed in for a month in India in just 10 days, with five days in the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, the rest in Himachal Pradesh in the far NW of India.

Although it does S-AF in about 1/2 sec., it's too slow for twitchy little birds and hummers. MF with peaking is excellent with the lens' excellent wide-open sharpness/contrast, and short-throw mechanical focusing. Aperture control from camera normal, and EXIF records lens data normally. Tripod essential as this otherwise great lens has no OIS.

All 100% crops, RAW.
