I own a TS-E 17 and 24mm and I've been considering getting a 5DSR. Both these lenses are on the lists I've seen of lenses Canon recommended or says work well with the 5DSR. I don't know if this is an official list or not.

In another forum there was a post about Dave Kilpatrick on F2 Cameracraft stating that there was some issue with the TS-E 17 keeping up with the 5DSR's resolving power. Unfortunately the publication is not generally available so I really don't know the true outcome of his investigation.

I have both TSE 17 and TSE 24 II , I don't own the 5DSr but only shot with it when go out with friends, I have easy access to 3 of them and played with it quite a bit actually, from my personal experience with this combo, I really don't see how the the lens not able to keep up with the sensor, I mean I have no other better 17mm to shoot side by side with the 5DsR compare with to see one can out perform the other, and I have no other 50mm FF camera that I can try this lens on to see if one came out better than the other, within the Canon land, I see HUGE difference tween my 1Ds3 and the 5DsR in term of details shooting with this same lens, all my Canon friends with the 5Ds/5DsR said the same thing, does that already reach the "max resolving power"? I won't know until I have a 70 or 80MP body to compare with. Don't forget long time ago some people claimed we don't need any higher resolution sensor than 20MP because of the lens is able to keep up bla bla bla.... and now the 50mp come out and we do see we can capture a lot more detail even with some crappy old lenses.

So my opinion is let's not to worry about if the lens out resolves the sensor or the sensor out resolves the lens, just get this combo and enjoy it, to me, for the none Sony shooter, the new 5DSR really gives a new life to both TSE 17 and TSE 24, i said that because lots of my friends actually got Sony bodies just so they can use this two lenses, myself included about to get myself a A7R II for this exact reason, i think these two lenses has long life to go before we need to worry about them "not keeping up with sensor resolving power".

I actually have an A7RII that I've used with these lenses. The reason I started this post what because there have been claims that UWA lenses from Canon under perform on the A7RII compared to how they perform on the 5DSR. Then others said the TS-E 17 was up to the challenge of the 5DSR either. Theirs no question having the EVF, focus magnification, and focus peaking on the A7RII make the manual focus lenses I have easier to use on my A7RII then the were on my 5DIII. That said I still wonder weather I should have stayed with Canon and gotten the 5DSR. I would really like the opportunity to try one out. Work has been very crazy and I've had no time off to get out and shoot lately so asking on forums at night is the only way I can find out info.

Thanks for sharing your opinion and your experience.
