NX500 not good for manual focus

So I decided to upgrade from my nx300m, and there's a huge problem with the nx500 vs nx300. Manual focus is much much harder, especially with old manual lenses which aren't very sharp.

The peaking on nx300 I thought wasn't the greatest and it's the same here basically, but you could use the 8x zoom also, so even in lower light with low contrast subject when peaking might not show up, you could still get good focus (just slower since you have to check more carefully for maximum sharpness).

So this is where the problem with nx500 lies. The 'live view' is denoised heavily in less than ideal light, and any finer detail at 8x is completely gone, making this task really a lot harder. I compared side by side with my nx300 and the difference is big. The nx300 seems to not have this processing going on. Imagine pixel peeping in a heavily processed jpeg at high iso looking for fine details vs doing it in a raw file.

So this is one of the definite cons of nx500. I haven't compared much the cameras otherwise, but nx500 seems somewhat flat in colors, but will have to do further testing. Most upgrades seems related to autofocus and video.
