Hi,

actually i have a 18-55 STM Canon Lens that I have bought to upgrade the very old 18-55 lens that I have from 2005.

Now i want to ask, what do you think about the 24mm f2.8 lens? It's an upgrade to the 18-55 STM lens or it's better to remain on my 18-55 STM?

Thanks!

The advantage of the 24 / 2.8 STM over the 18-55 / 3.5-5.6 STM IS is that it's a stop faster, smaller, and lighter (the resolution and vignetting differences between them are trivial).  The advantage of the zoom over the prime (aside from the obvious fact that it goes from 18-55mm rather than being locked in at 24mm) is that it has IS.

So, if neither size nor an extra stop are a priority, go with the zoom.
