Focus point size and illumination T5i and up questions
1

I have poor eyesight and in particular don't often distinguish very small color blobs of certain colors (red is one of them) very easily.  I'm trying to mostly migrate away from system cameras but for the time being I still use a T4i at some occasions.  The t4i like Canons before it has those nine tiny viewfinder focus points and a tiny red illumination dot to show the active one of which against some backgrounds I cannot see it.  I am all but sure the T5i must employ the same system but is the focus point and illumination system of the newer Canon DSLRs, T6i/s and 70D improved in this regard?  For these cameras also is the focus point (I would assume box) in live view easy to see employing the same style as the Canon compacts.  I don't use the live view in the t4i as it's close to useless.

Another reason should I ever get seriously back into system cameras, I'm going to go mirrorless.
