Option A: new NX1 + 16-50S + grip + extra battery for 2100 Eur?
Option B: new 70D + EF-S 17-55 + grip + extra battery for 1720 eur.
About me:
I just had my trusty 30D (this should tell you something about how long I keep my cameras) + 17-55 + flash stolen in Amsterdam two weeks ago and would like something to replace it and my (not stolen) video camera (Canon HF-S100) .
I want to get something that will last me a while (say 6-8 years or more if it does not break) and am not overly worried about it being discontinued since I would only plan to have two-three lenses, all of which are available now: the 16-50S, 50-150S (and maybe 85mm for portraits).
I do not do sports - except for some swimming pics but even these are basically poolside, so not interested in long lenses.
The 16-50S would be nice since it goes to 24mm equiv. vs the 17-55 that only goes to 27mm equiv. - and I felt quite a number of times that 17 mm is limiting (takes a while to put on the 10-22)
I would also love to have a two in one (to save weight and for convenience) camera that can also do good quality video, preferably 4k since I am sure I will keep it a few years.
Regardless of the body I will choose I would sell my EF-S 10-22 (used it rarely and almost never wider than 15mm) as well as my EF 70-200L IS (do not use it enough to warrant carrying its weight).
I was thinking to get another Canon body but I like the NX1 viewfinder a lot and since I do not do sports it is quite OK for me. The NX1 is also much lighter than an 70D.
NB. do not have any intention to ever go to FF - the advantages are just not worth it to me.
Any thoughts/remarks/suggestions?
