Nx300m. My images in good light all seem well overexposed. Any ideas on this?

Just an end note for those interested.

The solution I found was that the images from the camera aren't overexposed, but Lightroom (& ACR) at default settings are displaying the Raw files with too much lift in the shadows tones (& to a lessor extent the mid range tones too). Other Raw development software don't. So the camera itself isn't overexposing, its Lightroom (ACR) interpretation of the Raw files.

It's strange because Lightroom is bundled with the camera.

Now, bearing in mind that the low tones (& mids too) are too bright, before I knew the solution, I was attempting to get the contrast right by using the contrast slider. A lot of contrast was needed. That made the low tones better but the image looked awefull, ie overexposed and unnatural looking especially in the middle to high tones.

The solution was to go into the tone curve and lower the darks tones slider. This slider effects the low and mid tones, and thus lowers them bringing back the contrast, whilst leaving the brighter tones alone and thus not overexposing them.

I hope this helps anybody else out that notices the same problem.
