I agree in theory, say regarding the NX300 vs A5100.  NX300 has less color noise, but more luminance noise, so maybe a "measured" noise value of around 1000 for the NX300 vs. around 1300 for an A5100 is true.

Conversely, the NX500 is so obviously less noisy than an A5100 that I really question DXO's value of 1379 for the NX500, only marginally better than that of the A5100.
