I can probably save you 1.1kg.... All the specs I've read on the 200-500 say it's 2.3Kg not 3.3!

However as a non nikon shooter the panasonic 100-400 looks better to me as well....

My bad, I looked at package weight, not weight of lens, which is 2090 g.
