From Sony A6000 to Samsung NX30/NX500 (pros and cons)

Hi,

I currently own a Sony A6000 but am considering selling it to get a Samsung NX30. Why the NX30? Well I believe it is the best Samsung APS-C model that has an EVF, except for the NX1 which is still out of my price range. Please correct me if I am wrong, I only have a limited knowledge of Samsung products.

Why swap? Basically I like to use legacy glass and in particular Konica Hexanon lenses. The adapters for Sony E-mount are a little large and somewhat spoil the experience. Ideally I'd like to adapt wide-angle Konica lenses and use them for street shooting. On E-mount the adapter thickness resulted in the adapted lens extending so far out it was difficult to handhold with just one hand. I shoot from the chest and zone focus so holding the camera with 2 hands is not an option. Of course Samsung have some stellar wide angle primes and at some point I will get one or 2 but I'd still like to use/compare my Konica glass.

I'm guessing/hoping the NX30 has a quieter shutter than the A6000 which I find too loud for close up street shooting.

Other advantages: I believe Samsung employ a feature I really like to use with my Pentax K-3, namely trap focus, sometimes also called catch in focus. The restriction with Pentax is that the lens has to be at least P-KA mount to work. Would I be right in thinking with Samsung it will only work with Samsung NX mount lenses and no other?

I was/am tempted by the NX500 but the lack of EVF would make it less functional than my A6000 with regard to shooting with my Konica Hexanon telephoto primes. That said I have my Pentax K-3 and some good Pentax and Tamron glass that could fill that need well enough. So I could sell my longer Konica glass and put the money towards a nice Samsung pancake.

NX30 or NX500? Hmm.. if it was just for street shooting the NX500 would be my easy choice.

I've kinda answered my own post but would welcome some corrections/insight..
