Does anybody know what lens is shown at the end of this Canon promo video?

Why would they put an old FD lens in a photo for the EOS Ms?

Can you still buy those new?

No, but you can use them via a simple glassless adaptor on EF-M bodies - something not possible on EF or EF-S bodies, at least whilst retaining infinity focus. The 5os work quite nicely, my favorite FD lens for the M is probably the 100mm f2.8 - compact and sharp.

There was a huge outcry when Canon abandoned the FD mount for the EF one (although clearly the right decision) - this seems to be a case of Canon saying quitely "We haven't forgotten you FD guys".

Nice to know. I happen to have 2 FD lenses that have sat in a drawer in my wet bar for years. I happen to have that adapter, but didn't know it would work for FD lenses.

Thanks!!
