Hi ... I've transitioned from a DSC-H3 to the RX100, primarily based on the excellent reviews, example pics, and small form factor. Everything seemed like a win until I actually started taking pics. I've gone through the limited documentation and believe that I'm using the right settings. With that said, it seems like many of my photos are very 'soft' and not of the sharpness that I was expecting.

I'm using the 'green' intelligent auto setting. Is there some other setting that I may have messed-up or anything else that I should consider? In my past experience, when I get the display indication that focus is locked everything is usually spot-on sharp.

TIA - I want to love this camera!

One possibility that none of the others have posted is that Green Auto mode actually reviews the scene you point it at and decides how to shoot and the decision will often involve taking multiple shots then combining them into one. Read up on how to control the camera in the A and S modes and give them a try, or at the very leasr try the standard auto mode which always uses a single shot.
