I've converted your image in SPP 6.3 in neutral colour mode with no adjustments and there is no significant blotching visible on hi-res screen.

dear Marek, Anthony, Pedrolito, and Charles2, thank you very much for your help

unfortunately I can see some purple and green zones also in your efforts... maybe is only me, my monitor, my eyes... (the problem is that I like a lot the under-exposed images, then when I work in LR5 to under-expose the problem becomes more evident)

I don't know... anyway thank you very much

The underscore in the file name suggests that you're using AdobeRGB colour space in camera settings, instead of sRGB, and the exif confirms that

does this affect the raw data? (the .jpg I linked in my previous post is neither an in camera jpg nor an export from SPP, it is obtained by exporting a .tiff in ProPhoto from SPP and by producing a .jpg from LR5 specifying the color space sRGB)

what can be seen as uniform colour area in the sky/mist is a result of jpg interpolation of pixels with no signifcant colour difference into a one blop . That's how jpg compression works to reduce the file size .

this is also one of my hypothesis, however, even though the .jpg is worst, I see a similar problem  in the .tiff file too

thank you very much again
