Well I'm a bit confused on that one because he did state he wants it for snaps and then added he wants to use the 7-14mm on it and needs much better dynamic range so I'm not sure what the "snaps" criteria really is?

I mean "snap" in the sense of a photo I didn't expect to get and hence didn't lug a camera bag with me for.  There is no quality loss in carrying a small camera, although some people, sadly, remain convinced there is.

If I have no expectation of getting a photo at all I carry an E-PM1, VF2 and 14mm f2.5 lens.  A few times a year I get something cool with that.  If I'm away from home I carry the 12mm and 45mm.  That's a very slick set up and if there's anything to capture, I'll capture it.  If I am going down to the beach for non photographic reasons I'll replace the 12mm with the 7-14.  You might get an amazing sunset or find someone catching an octopus, who knows?

I expect the same quality from these I get from my bigger cameras.  I just have to work a little harder with no zoom, tilting screen, very long lenses, C-AF etc etc.

The E-PM1 is a bit short on DR, I have to replace the VF anyway, so why not a GM5?

And back cometh the answer, no IBIS and a slow mechanical shutter.  However I'm sure I'll manage.
