Pentax "second body" dilemma

First of all, I realize I might be borrowing trouble here.  But my K-30, which was my first serious digital camera, seems to have succumbed to the dreaded aperture motor failure.  I have had zero problems with the camera up till now-- it has served admirably in every way.  And I know there are fixes out there to get the motor "unstuck" and I am going to try them. (They all require the battery to be fully charged, and it is on the charger now.)

But even if I get the K-30 working again, I'm unsure if I will ever be able to trust it again.  At least I don't think I will ever want to carry it solo on an important trip or outing.  But I also still want to have a second camera body for general efficiency and of course as backup.

Up till now, I have been very happy with the K-30 and the K-5iis as a pair.  I always assumed if something happened to the K-30, I would replace it with a K-50, but now I understand the K-50 is prone to the same issues.  Is this true?

If my K-30 is indeed toast, and a K-50 would leave me open to a repeat of the same problem, what would you suggest as a good second body for my growing collection of Pentax lenses?  A K-S2?  Another K-5iis? Or should I buy a K-3 and make the K-5iis my second body?  Up until this moment, I've had zero interest in the K-3, finding the K-5iis fully sufficient for my needs.  I don't need a bigger or heavier camera, nor more MP.
